Drama Queen and Drama King Party (featuring a Performance by children.)
NOT for every child but for those natural performer’s here your chance to show your skills and really shine on your birthday.
This wild adventure starts with mask decorating as children are arriving, followed by crowning the party queen or king, then drama workshop and performance created on the spot by the director Lavender Lily with impute from the Drama King or Queen and their guests.
The drama elements explored in the workshop include:
movement, vocals, improvisation, dance including belly dancing, hula hooping, emotions, facial expressions, character development through games and exercises that are fun, creative and dramatic darling.
If your child is a superstar this one is for you. If you have add all the other Lavender Lily parties then this will be a new option. Lavender Lily will play the part as narrator and herself as well as assisting with the story but the birthday child has to lead the performance. The birthday child will be given a microphone and can sing along side Lavender Lily, interview other characters, sing by themselves, adlib as the performance progresses and do dialogue with other characters.
Simple script can be provided as part of the invitation and children are encouraged to bring their favourite costume pieces. A hat or gloves can create character after all.
The performance should be filmed, Lavender Lily can arrange it or film it yourself and all children can receive a DVD memento of the party performance. (DVD charged separately or burn them yourself from the footage you take.)
Minimum time 2 ½ hours depending on number of guests
LENGTH: minimum 2 ½ hours up to 4 hours.
EQUIPMENT: PA system, backdrop, disco lights, bubble machine, mats.
SUIT: 8 years and older. For younger children the performance will have to be adapted.
VENUE: Venue with a stage, backstage and curtains essential.
OPTIONS: Model Madness – fashion parade. Guests are asked to bring three of their favourite outfits/costume and the last 15 minutes of the party is a fashion show followed by disco freak-out.
